ProNurse: Empowering women by professionalising the nursing sector in Bangladesh

This project aims to strengthen the voice, influence and autonomy of nurses in the healthcare sector in Bangladesh. To achieve this, the expected intermediate outcomes are: an improvement in the quality of education provided to nurses in both the public and private sectors in Bangladesh; an improvement in the performance and professional status of nurses in Bangladesh; and improved conditions for greater participation of nurses in the health sector in Bangladesh. The Université de Montréal* is a subcontractor of Cowater International inc. on this project and will mainly work on improving the quality of nursing education.
