Study of national health accounts in Haiti

The CHUM/USI in association with a local firm, AM F_Experts, has provided the design and realization of a study of Haiti’s National Health Accounts, detailing the structure, expenditure flows, scale and sources of funding, the applications of the funds used broken down by item. It also ensured the implementation of mechanisms and tools for the establishment of a system of National Health Accounts as a systematic tool to: have accurate information on the availability of health resources and the degree of effectiveness and efficiency of spending to support strategic decision-making and better mobilization and allocation of health sector resources. The transfer of skills and support necessary to the key structures and actors of the Ministry of Health in order to enable them to ensure the continuous updating of the NHA system, was an aspect to which the Association attached great importance.
