Description

This was the second phase of a research project addressing access to basic services in the Indian state of Kerala. The objectives of phase 2 were: 

1) consolidation of scientific tools from phase 1 through their maximum exploitation, and wide dissemination of multiple interconnected data banks based on collected data

2) longitudinal analysis of the implementation and outcomes of the community health insurance program, and its impacts on women’s health and participation in micro-credit programs

3) accumulation of health data, health needs and vulnerability, especially among Paniya indigenous populations

4) the consolidation of existing partnerships with local government, with networks of women’s self-help groups and with NGOs, with the aim of empowering the community.
