Description

This project aimed to provide institutional support to the Joint Commission on Health Care Quality (JCHCQ). The JCHCQ was created in 2015 as part of the Kazakhstan’s health insurance reform, with the mission to improve accessibility, the quality and effectiveness of health service delivery, and to reduce financial risks caused by serious public health problems. Dedicated to managing the quality of the healthcare system, this body should gradually be transformed into an independent and financially autonomous entity, ensuring development, implementation and monitoring of quality standards – clinical protocols and best practices, assessment of medical technologies including drugs, accreditation processes, evaluation of facility performance. This twenty-two months project provided the partners with the tools they needed to achieve this objective.
