Description

YELLEN aims to contribute to reducing gender inequalities in sexual and reproductive health and rights for women and adolescents in seven districts of the Kayes region: Bafoulabé, Diéma, Nioro, Ossoubidiagna, Sagabari, Séféto, and Yélimané. It is based on the assumption that increasing the decision-making power of women and adolescents for better control over their health will promote the use of quality sexual and reproductive health services adapted to their needs. It proposes an innovative collaboration model aimed at harmonizing the work of health service providers, civil society actors, particularly women’s groups and decentralized local authorities. YELLEN provides technical and material support to health structures and the public health system. It raises awareness and mobilizes communities in synergy with these interventions. It strengthens the skills of healthcare system actors to sustainably improve the quality and availability of care and increase the accessibility of health services.
