Description

ASSK aimed to improve the health of women, children, and adolescents living in the province of Kinshasa. It targeted seven health zones and included two main components: 1. Improvement of essential health services, focused on building technical capacities and ensuring the availability of material resources to enhance the delivery of quality healthcare services, strengthened management capacities, hygiene practices, and biomedical waste management, prioritized women’s, adolescents’, children’s, and newborns’ health, as well as sexual and reproductive health and rights. 2. Utilization of essential health services, focused on developing awareness and sensitization capacities among health center staff, general reference hospitals, and community actors to promote best practices in sexual and reproductive health, and aimed to increase financial and geographical access to healthcare services for populations in the targeted health zones
