The aim of the project is to support the gradual start-up of the Mother and Child Hospital Center (transitioning from a 50-bed hospital to 150-bed facility), taking into account the expansion of its reception capacity and a sustainable business model, while ensuring a quality of care commensurate with both the hospital center’s already established reputation, and the expectations of the Ministry of Public Health as part of the country’s ongoing hospital reform. The work was carried out in two phases: 1) the first phase involved an assessment of the hospital’s situation and operations prior to the extension of its services, and an evaluation of requirements, particularly in terms of human and financial resources, based on the new CHME’s establishment plan. A capacity-building plan was the main outcome of phase 1 of the mandate. 2) The second phase consisted in supporting the CHME in implementing the capacity-building plan.
