This project focused on the development of human resources skills and the fight against HIV\/AIDS, two priorities defined in the Madagascar Action Plan (MAP) by the Malagasy government; it was based on the broad guidelines of the National Health Policy (NHS), where education was a major issue. The proposal was a logical continuation of the previous project by continuing the strategies that were successful, maintaining and strengthening the achievements, and expanding the scope of the project\u2019s results at the Befelatanana University Hospital Centre (CHUB), designated site of \u00abSidenology\u00bb. To do this, the project sought to strengthen and build on the expertise of the multidisciplinary team of health professionals and Malagasy scientists trained by the PPUCD-Strand 2.
